His wife seems unfazed when they break the news, and she explains that his white-collar financial scheme cleaned out their funds plus that of many others, suggesting a motive for murder.īrennan tells Montenegro about her birth worries and they guess from the evidence that Lazebnik was stabbed, though Brennan is reluctant to make a definitive statement.
